The OLSAT® Level-A test is for children currently in Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten for entry into 1st grade and is comprised of 10 subtests that assess skills such as following directions, classification, identifying associations, establishing sequences, basic mathematical knowledge, analogies, and identifying similarities and differences.

This 70-question practice test is structured and presented similar to the actual Otis Lennon School Ability Test® (OLSAT®). This diagnostic practice test includes all new questions for each of the ten subtest types administered on the OLSAT®. The first 10 questions are warm-ups to familiarize your child with the structure and type of questions from each subtest.

There is no separate OLSAT® test for Pre K. The lowest level of the OLSAT® was developed for use with Kindergarten age children. New York City was the first large school district to use the OLSAT® to test Pre-K children. Prior to 2012 Pre-K children answered the first 40 questions on the OLSAT® ; Kindergarten children answered all 60 questions. Your district may differ as to how much of the K level test they give to your Pre-K child.

After completing the test you may then use your child's results and Performance Guidelines provided to identify areas of strength and weakness.
