While titled Nonfiction Comprehension Test Practice and clearly marketed to teachers for use in test preparation this title has use well beyond test preparation as an excellent reading comprehension series.

A 15 page introduction explains what children need to learn and how to learn it. Each of the 20 lessons contains a short article chosen from Time for Kids for interest and readability followed by a series of worksheets.

Each article is followed by questions on sentence comprehension, word study, paragraph comprehension, whole story comprehension, enrichment for language mechanics and expression, and graphic development. The series will also help students gain a mastery of certain specific test-taking skills and the ability to recognize and control stress in the testing environment.

This title is reproducible and a CD-ROM with all the lessons, answer sheet, and answer key is also included.
